Dr. Ann Hirsch (she/her)

Executive Director, San Diego Institute of Therapy

Couples Therapy | Coparenting | Executive Mental Health | Neurodivergence Support

Dr. Ann Hirsch (née White) is committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel truly seen and understood, allowing them to cultivate secure, healthy relationships with those who matter most. As a psychologist with training and experience in providing evidence-based care, Dr. Ann offers personalized therapy for individuals, couples, and families, with a special focus on couples, parents, executives, and neurodivergent individuals.

Dr. Ann’s specialized training in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)—a gold standard for couples therapy—enables her to help couples navigate and heal relational challenges with empathy. In addition to EFT, she is skilled in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which is invaluable for managing intense emotions, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps clients build psychological flexibility. Dr. Ann also integrates the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) to support clients in overcoming trauma and building resilience.

With a background in neuropsychological testing for ADHD and Autism, Dr. Ann brings a deep understanding of neurodivergence into her practice, offering compassionate care for those navigating life and relationships with a neurodivergent brain. She empowers her clients—whether individuals, parents, or professionals—with psychoeducation, enabling them to better understand their minds, and utilizes advanced therapeutic techniques to foster emotional growth, connection, and peace.

Whether you’re an executive dealing with high-pressure environments, a couple seeking to restore intimacy, or a neurodivergent individual looking for tailored support, Dr. Ann’s evidence-based, client-centered approach is designed to help you find healing, freedom, and peace.
